So Much Yarn
Let's take a peek at the knitting going on around here.
Sock project #1* - Winters Frost Socks by This Handmade Life
Yarn: Barnyard Knits
Colorway: Snow on Pines
This brand of yarn is one of my favorites. It's an 80/20 merino/nylon blend that seriously feels like there is cashmere in there. I used to buy it at Conversational Threads up in Emmaus, but last year they opened their own storefront in Alpha, New Jersey.
Their "wall-o-wool" is enough to knock your socks off.
It's a good thing Alpha is a bit of a drive.
Otherwise, I'd have a much bigger stash problem.
*I'm in the process of filling the needles and slashing the stash. This is just the first of many new sock starts to come.

I love the socks - pattern and yarn - and happy to find you again. All sock yarns are not created to be equal. It's a joy to find the ones that feel and knit up the best.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very pretty sock! I haven't done anything but plain socks for a long time--this pretty lacy/cable section is perfection!!! (Thanks for the blog visit and comment!)
ReplyDeleteThat's such a pretty yarn and it goes so well with the pattern, one I've used before I think. It's exciting when you're casting on all the new things.
ReplyDeleteI love knitting socks and have a husband and grandson who love them, good reason to keep knitting them.
ReplyDeleteThe pattern looks great with the yarn. Both are lovely.
